MYKITA is a company known internationally for its hand-assembled prescription frames and sunglasses.
The company was founded by Moritz Krueger, Philipp Haffmans, Daniel Haffmans and Harald Gottschling in 2003. All of its products are hand-assembled in their manufactory in Berlin.
The name MYKITA is derived from ”Kita” (a common abbreviation for Kindertagesstätte) and is a reference to the firm’s first premises in a former day nursery.

MYKITA sunglasses is distinguished by a progressive approach to form, construction and surface. Made of stainless steel, acetate or mylon, it is handcrafted modern design that meets advanced technology that gives a refined and distinctive aesthetic. Lenses provide a total defence from UVA and UVB rays as well as maximum glare protection.
